Sourced from a single site in Gladysdale in the Upper Yarra Valley, this pinot is hand-picked, given a cold soak and fermented with a portion of whole bunches for added lift. Black cherry, cranberry and cola root aromas sit alongside gentle spice, with cigar-box notes emerging from time in French puncheons and barriques. The palate is silky yet structured, carried by fine, fresh acidity and real length. A site-expressive, low-intervention pinot that rewards a few years in the cellar as much as it does drinking tonight.
