Sangreal is Gary Farr's flagship Geelong pinot noir, and it shows the same character vintage after vintage: seductive, perfumed and seamlessly balanced. Red and dark cherry fruit is layered with whole-bunch spice and subtle earthy, savoury undertones, with careful French oak handling adding gentle warmth rather than dominating the fruit. The palate is smooth and long, with ripe, well-managed tannin and a moreish, persistent finish. A wine for slow-cooked duck, venison, or simply good company and time to let it open up.
