Built on a majority of Pinot Noir with Chardonnay and Meunier, drawn largely from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards and lifted by reserve wines aged for years in magnum. Golden in colour with very fine bubbles, it offers aromatic complexity on the nose - ripe fruit, roasted apple and peach compote - moving to brioche, pear and fresh walnut on the palate. Structure is the hallmark: a velvety mousse, real length and a vinous weight closer to a still wine than most Champagne. Built as much for food as for celebration.
